    my friend also does online attunements
    I was attuned online also
    I would look at their testimonials and background first
    make sure all is above board
    and go for it !

    Having done Reiki to the Second Degree I would have to say "no". The personal connection is the whole essence with Reiki. There are a lot of charlatans out there. Find the person who connects with you.

    If you believe in reiki, then it’s possible; but beware of people who charge exorbitant prices for the sake of profit or making reiki ‘serious’! Fair recompense for their time should be the going rate.

    You can get distant attunements but for a first-time Reiki person I would not recommend them. You need in-person training.

    If you are advanced (master level) then sure, get them distantly with a copy of the manual because you can figure it out based on past training in other systems.
