The sacral chakra is body area located between the upper parts of the sacrum. This chakra is important in helping with healing, communicating with and opening up to universal energies in Reiki. Because of this, the sacral chakra is used as a way to aid healing. There are various methods used by Reiki practitioner to open this chakra in order to allow universal energies to move and communicate through the body.

Also known as the cross center, the sacral chakra is thought to hold sexual energy, emotions, sexual energies and creative energy. A person who is strong in this chakra center, will have an easier time with out of body experiences. Because of this, it is vital to make sure that the sacral chakra is not blocked and is able to exchange with universal energies. The sacral chakra’s main function is the characteristics of creative energies. The creative energies are usually developed between the ages of 7 and 14. Many attribute this chakra with holding the sense of taste as well. Eastern tradition the sacral chakra is known as the six petal lotus, and is connected to the element of earth. If this chakra is blocked, it will affect you mentally, physically, and emotionally.

When a Reiki practitioner is healing this area, they will begin by placing their hands on the sacrum. This may be done from the front or the back of the person. With females, they will unblock the sacral chakra by rotating to the right. In males, they will unblock by rotating to the left. In addition to clearing the area, it is thought to help problems with the reproductive glands or the prostate as well. Some will choose include certain attunements and mantras when doing this. The first mantra that might be used is a vam sound. The mantra is used in the tune of D. Some may also clear this chakra while using aromatherapy. Sandalwood and ylang-ylang oil are the two recommended aromas to use. If you prefer, they can also combine this with the use of a gemstone. The two best types of gemstones to use in this case are carnelian and moonstones.

When the Reiki process is complete, the sacral chakra should open to the universal energies. In its pure state, one may see an orange-colored aura surrounding this chakra. Often after having had this section cleared, a person will sleep for eight to ten hours in a fetal position. They may also see visions of moonlight and clear water during or after the process.

When one opens their sacral chakra, they are open to the universal energies in relation to their emotions and creativity. Eoing this not only helps to heal physical ailments, such as in the reproductive area, but also will help in clearing emotional blockage. Any combination of the previously-mentioned techniques can be used when clearing the sacral chakra.

There are many ways in which we may lose our way, crumple our self-esteem, or simply lose confidence for a period of time.
But whatever happens, we should try never to lose our own sense of Self. This sense of Self is accessed very deeply every time we Turn On our Reiki, and it is an inherently protective and Spiritually Building Experience.

1. Knowing Your Purpose – in Reiki and Life
You may sometimes find yourself wandering through life with little direction – hoping that you’ll find happiness, health and prosperity… and this is okay. However, identify your life purpose or personal Mission and you will have your own unique compass that will lead you (Intuitively) to your truth north every time.

This may seem tricky at first when you feel yourself to be in a tight or even dead end. But there is always that little glimmer of Grace that can turn things around and your acknowledgement of this combined with a focus on your Mission, can make a big difference to your experience.

2. Knowing Your Core Values
Ask Yourself – What do you value the most? Make a list of your top 5 values. Some examples are security, family, freedom, spiritual development, learning. As you set your goals for the coming months or year – check your goals against your values. If the goal doesn’t align with any of your top five values – you may want to reconsider or revise it, as your values will constantly empower these goals.

3. Know Your True Needs
Needs that are not being met can keep you from living authentically. These unmet needs zap energy from your entire system. Take care of yourself. You must acknowledge if you have a need to be acknowledged, to be right, to be in control, to be loved? There are so many people who have lived their lives without realizing their dreams and most of them end up being stressed out or even depressed, without any real knowledge as to why this is so. List your top four needs and get them met before it’s too late! And keep in mind that some needs are Daily or Weekly needs – they keep you going!

4. Know Your Real Passions
You do know who you are, and what you truly enjoy in life. Obstacles like doubt and lack of enthusiasm will only hinder you, but will not derail your chance to become the person you know yourself to be. Express yourself and honor the people who have Inspired you to become the very person you want to be. And, remember to pass on this Inspiration to others- it’s always easier than it first seems! A simple sharing of a story or just a few reflective words are usually enough to make a Real Difference.

5. Live – From The Inside Out
Daily, focus on increasing your awareness of your inner wisdom by regularl reflection in silence. Commune with nature. Breathe deeply, and quiet your distracted or restless mind. For most of us it’s hard to even find the peace and quiet we want – even in our own home. Simply sit in a dimly lit room and play some soothing music. The benefits of this internal world will Amaze you.

6. Honor Your Strengths
Tell me, what are your positive traits? What special talents do you possess? List three – and if you get stuck, ask those closest to you to help identify these. Are you imaginative, playful, witty, good with your hands? Find ways to express your authentic self through your strengths. This allows Inspiration to flow through you. You naturally increase your self-confidence when you can share what you know to others.

7. Serving Others
Living Authentically, you may find that you develop an interconnected sense of being. When you are true to who you are, living your purpose and giving of your talents to the world around you, you give back in service what you came to share with others – your spirit expressed – your essence revealed. The rewards for sharing your gift with those close to you is extremely rewarding, and much more if it were to be the eyes of a stranger who can appreciate what you have done to them.

This kind of introspective Self-Improvement is indeed one type of work that is worth every effort. It shouldn’t always be within the confines of an office building, or maybe in the four corners of your own room. The difference lies within ourselves and how much we want to change for the better. Your Reiki practice will benefit a Hundred Fold through your own self knowledge!

The 5 Reiki Precepts.

The five Reiki precepts have been handed down from Reiki master to student since the start of Reiki.

Just For Today, I Will Not Worry.

Just For Today, I Will Not Anger.

Just For Today, I Will Earn My Living Honestly.

Just For Today, I Will Honor My Parents, Elders, and Teachers.

Just For Today, I Will Show Gratitude For Everything.

To me it almost sounds like they could have come from a 12 step program, but I have to say that there is wisdom in these words. Taken all together and lived every day can lead one to live a beautiful life.

What you read above was the original version I was taught. For my own self I have changed the wording slightly to eliminate the negative. Every time we say “I will not”, we are fighting the “will” and thus it is more difficult to accomplish whatever it is we wanted to accomplish!

Just For Today, I Will Not Worry.

Today, I Am Worry Free!

Here, I am not willing myself to do anything, I am declaring that I am worry free! There is no fear of worry, there is nothing negative in the statement. The word “Just” adds limits and if we are reminding ourselves of these precepts all the time, the “Just” just doesn’t fit!

If I am “just worry free today”, that means I can worry tomorrow!

The subconscious is always listening and picks up on these things.

Words are very powerful and should be used wisely!

Just For Today, I Will Not Anger.

I Am Happy Today!

Again, I drop the “Just”, I leave the “Will” out of it and drop the two negatives, “not” and “anger”.Recite those two sentences aloud and see which one feels better.

Just For Today, I Will Earn My Living Honestly.

I Am Honest And Fair In All My Undertakings!

This one makes me laugh, does it mean that yesterday I was dishonest and tomorrow I can rob a bank?

Just For Today, I Will Honor My Parents, Elders, and Teachers.

I Respect, Honor, and Love My Parents, Elders, and Teachers!

There are variations out there in which the parents, elders and teachers get reduced to neighbors, not a change I am in favor of, for our Parents and Elders should not be reduced to being neighbors and all in the world can teach us something! Our Parents and Elders are to be held in the highest esteem, along with our teachers. This statement encompasses every person in our lives!

Just For Today, I Will Show Gratitude For Everything.

I Am Thankful And Grateful For All The Good In My Life, For All Good I Have Been Given And All The Good That Is Coming To Me!

We are to be grateful everyday! Not “Just” today! And we need to be grateful for everything that touches us, and not just as a “Show”!

Yes, the 5 precepts in themselves are good starting points, but you must make them yours in a way in which they are truly yours.

Everyone deserves to be happy. In fact, this can only happen when there is abundance and prosperity which happen to be the basic principles of Reiki.

Abundance and prosperity Reiki can only be achieved by following the five principles namely give cheerfully, change your voice if you want to desire, know your life’s purpose, be aware that there must be no mistakes or regrets and living the mantra.

Dr. Usui believed that by having these in our thoughts and what we say, we are able to live positive lives. If we dwell in doubt and other negative things, our dreams will never happen.

As Reiki practitioners, we should use our talent not only to heal ourselves and those around us but also the world at large. This is because attunement strengthens our thoughts making us realize that we have a potential to do more in our life.

But you have to admit that words have different meanings for each of us. For some abundance and prosperity means more money and wealth while some may see it as success in business or in one’s career.

Of course this definition may also mean having a loving marriage and a loving family. It just goes to show that it does not always mean material things.

This is probably one of the things that make us extraordinary among the other species in the planet because we have the creative power of divine heart and mind connection. We just have to tap this gift and use it so we may be able to fulfill or even find our purpose in life.

So what are money, love and peace? Such things are energies that we see as reality. But such a belief is not pointed in just one direction when Reiki’s energy is universal and we can use that power to change what is happening around us.

One thing we have to remember is that there are universal laws that govern abundance. Seasons come and go and despite everything, we are just limitless beings. This is why man must strive for the highest good and hold on to things that are only of value to ourselves.

When we feel that things are not going our way, this is the time that we must reflect and see if the things that are considered to be important hold the same priority as they did before. If they do not, this must be removed and then changed to a positive energy that can produce something better. In essence, we let go of the old to make room for the new.

How do you begin this journey? By creating a list of what is important in your life, reviewing each one and then figuring out which of these have to go. It is best to pay attention to how you feel about each one and then only keep those that add value to your quality of life.

This is probably the most important part in any level of Reiki as you are undergoing the 21 day cleansing process. Afterwards, you can move on with our life because Abundance and Prosperity can be achieved by using Reiki as your guide.

If you need references, look at the manual that was given to your during the 2 day training because this is not something you read and throw away.

The action to put your hands on yours or other people`s or animals` body to heal is in our nature. When we feel pain the first thing we do is to bring our hands where we have pain.
When we have fever we put our hands on our forehead to reduce suffer. The touch brings heat, serenity and healing. Animals do almost the same when they leak a wounded part of their body. In the animal world a mother leaks her kids when they are sick and human beings touch their babies with their hands.

The human or animal body irradiates heat and energy, which is vital force. This concept is well known and mentioned in all the human cultures, and this energy has different names according to each of these cultures. For example in India it is called Prana and because of this name we today talk about prana healing. Chinese call it Chi and for this reason today we know about Chi Kung, an ancient healing discipline.

In Reiki the healers have to open the energetic channels and to remove the blocks through harmonisations. The healers receive the energy to heal them and connect to the source of the universal energy, also called universal Ki. Reiki is not a religion; neither is connected to a religion. It is the source of life. It is an entity and as a concept is even older than religious philosophy.

Every living thing has Ki inside. Who or what receives a harmonisation or attenuement is in direct contact with its illuminated source. There is more than one level of attenuement. With the first level the living entity becomes a channel that drives the energy. When the first attenuement is received, in the future the entity has to put its hands on its or other entities body to connect to the universal Ki. The energy will flow automatically.

The attenuement that put into direct contact to the source of Ki, increases the vital energy also of those receiving it. They realize an energy that heals them and they would be able to heal other people, and this energy will not extinguish. When receiving the attenuement the entity is getting a gift which will change its life in positive.

The harmonization or initiation is a process that makes Reiki different from any other method of hand imposition or healing through physical contact. It is not a healing session, but it is the procedure created by a healer. At the first level the beginner receives the first combined attenuements, at the second level another one and a final one at the third level. Each attenuement increases the capability to channel Ki. The attenuements are the essence of Reiki. Reiki does not have sense without attenuements. There should always be a healer and a receiver. The transmission of attenuements follows a nice ritual process, but sometimes it can be performed faster without any ceremony.

During one of the attenuements of the three levels of Reiki the master stands behind the student and draw the reiki symbols. Then he moves in front of the student and again behind repeating the process. Those receiving attenuements can realize different feelings. Someone can see colours or images, someone else can see past existences. Some are covered by light or feel a sensation of peace or of love or wonder. Everyone feels something but the levels can be different from individual to individual.

When someone becomes a healer, the first time he or she feels the energy flowing through his or her hands. In this moment, after receiving the attenuement the entity becomes Reiki. There is not anything new but the new situation opens and puts in order what was already present in him or her. It is like providing light energy in a house.

Some masters say that those receiving Reiki in this life are people who already received it in their previous lives. Reiki is a memory according to them. In reality we all have received Reiki as it is part of our genetic patrimony.

Reiki is composed of three degrees. During the attenuement of the first degree the scope is to heal the physical diseases. The beginner in fact feels a physical improvement in the first months after the first attenuement. In fact at the first level the healing sessions are self-healing. The beginner can also heal another person through a direct physical healing. At this aim the healer has to put his or her hands over the body of the person to heal.

Reiki (霊気 or レイキ?, English: /ˈreɪkiː/) is a spiritual practice[1] developed in 1922 by Japanese Buddhist Mikao Usui, and uses a technique commonly called palm healing as a form of complementary and alternative medicine (CAM).[2] Through the use of this technique, sometimes refereed to as “tenohira” (meaning “the palm” in Japanese), practitioners believe that they are transferring “healing energy” in the form of qi (or ki in Japanese) through the palms.[3][4]

There are two main branches of Reiki, commonly referred to as Traditional Reiki and Western Reiki. Within both Traditional and Westernised forms of Reiki, there are three forms of degrees, commonly refereed to as the First, Second, and Master/Teacher degree. According to Reiki practitioners and Masters, at First Degree, a Reiki practitioner is able to heal themselves and others, at Second Degree is able to heal others distantly (commonly called distant healing) with the use of specialized symbols, and at Master/Teacher level is able to teach and attune others to Reiki.

Music therapy is both an allied health profession and a field of scientific research which studies correlations between the process of clinical therapy and biomusicology, musical acoustics, music theory, psychoacoustics and comparative musicology. It is an interpersonal process in which a trained music therapist uses music and all of its facets—physical, emotional, mental, social, aesthetic, and spiritual—to help clients to improve or maintain their health. Music therapists primarily help clients improve their observable level of functioning and self-reported quality of life in various domains (e.g., cognitive functioning, motor skills, emotional and affective development, behavior and social skills) by using music experiences (e.g., singing, songwriting, listening to and discussing music, moving to music) to achieve measurable treatment goals and objectives. Referrals to music therapy services may be made by a treating physician or an interdisciplinary team consisting of clinicians such as physicians, psychologists, physical therapists, and occupational therapists.

Music therapists are found in nearly every area of the helping professions. Some commonly found practices include developmental work (communication, motor skills, etc.) with individuals with special needs, songwriting and listening in reminiscence/orientation work with the elderly, processing and relaxation work, and rhythmic entrainment for physical rehabilitation in stroke victims.

The Turco-Persian psychologist and music theorist al-Farabi (872950), known as “Alpharabius” in Europe, dealt with music therapy in his treatise Meanings of the Intellect, where he discussed the therapeutic effects of music on the soul.[1] Robert Burton wrote in the 17th century in his classic work, The Anatomy of Melancholy, that music and dance were critical in treating mental illness, especially melancholia.
